Don’t Call Us, We’ll Call You
Robert A. Gulley, 25, admits it was “a bad judgment call” to stop by the State Patrol headquarters in Orchards, Wash., to ask for an application for employment as a trooper. He was allegedly legally drunk at the time. Officers warned him not to drive home when he left, but he did anyway, they say. He was stopped by a trooper and arrested for drunk driving. Gulley says he still wants a job with the Patrol. “Those guys are doing their job keeping the roads safe,” he says. (Vancouver Columbian) ...Which is why they’re not going to hire him.
