Doesn’t Quite Fit
Kim Rule saw the burglar who stole two small safes from her pub in Stalham, Norfolk, England, and gave police a description. They used the details to create an “e-fit” — a computerized composite drawing of the suspect. But the result, Rule says, doesn’t look anything like the burglar. The e-fit looks like a drawing of a “Martian,” a newspaper reporter says, and if the man really looks like the drawing “they shouldn’t have much trouble catching him. Unless he’s hot-footed it back to Mars.” (London Times) ...Oh sure, encourage racial profiling against our innocent Martian friends.
